In This Course students will learn Adobe InDesign, selected Photoshop techniques and some basic design principals on a Macintosh platform. This will enable the student to create a variety of publications ranging from simple flyers to four page newsletters.

Movement is how you as a designer move the viewer's eye through a space with the line, contrast, volume, and the placement of objects within a design.
Space has two aspects: Positive space, which is represented by an object; Negative space, which is represented by open space. The balance of space creates a composition.

Collect and study print materials from around your community. What makes one design more appealing than another? You can develop a sense of good design by carefully studying other designs. Part of being a good designer/publisher is research.

You will then be ready to tackle the in-class projects as we learn Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
